- To combine clips in Premiere Pro there are some basic steps that must be kept in mind. Combining video clips is called creating a nested sequence; this is quite a powerful process. First, you have to create a sequence and drag and drop the two clips that you wish to combine, into your workspace.
- Premiere Pro will let you change things like font, colour, size and certain types of animation. 1: Select the Type Tool (T) Select the Type Tool and drag a box onto your video to write some text into. If you don't have this tool visible, you may need to go to Windows Tools and click and hold on Type Tool.

Premiere videos must be at least 30 seconds long. Videos must be 30 frames per second or less. Videos must be no larger than 1920x1080p. The maximum file size for a Premiere is 10GB. A Premiere has to be scheduled at least 10 minutes in advance. You won't be able to launch a Premiere immediately so be sure to plan ahead.
How to personalize the Timeline panel
Choose options in the Timeline Display Settings menu and Timeline panel menu to personalize the Timeline panel.
Customize the track headers
Choose Customize Video Header or Customize Audio header in the Timeline Display Settings menu to access the Button Editor.
- Drag a button from the Button Editor onto a track header to add it.
- Drag a button away from a header to remove it.
- Click Reset Layout to restore the header to default settings.
- Click OK to apply your changes.
All track headers of the same type will be updated when you click OK.
Create track height presets
- Set track heights and choose Save Preset in the Timeline Display Settings menu.
- Name the preset and, if you like, assign a keyboard shortcut in the Save Preset dialog box.
- Click OK.
Manage track height presets
- To apply a different keyboard shortcut or delete a preset, choose Manage Presets in the Timeline settings menu.
Toggle displaying duplicate frame markers
- To toggle the display of colored highlights indicating duplicate frames, choose Show Duplicate Frame Markers in the Timeline settings menu.
Toggle displaying through edits
Fnaf night 10. Through edit marks indicate edits that have been added to clips that could be continuous.
- To display through edit marks, choose Show Through Edits in the Timeline settings menu.
- To remove a through edit and rejoin the clip, select the edit and press Backspace or Delete.
Toggle displaying FX badges
- To toggle the display of FX badges on clips, choose Show FX Badges in the Timeline settings menu.
Toggle displaying clip names, thumbnails, and keyframes
- Choose options in the Timeline settings menu to toggle displaying clip information and controls. Examples include, Show Video Thumbnails, Show Video Keyframes, and Show Video Names.
Toggle displaying rectified audio waveforms
- Choose Rectified Audio Waveforms in the Timeline panel menu to show or hide this option.
Tip: Experiment with all the options in the Timeline settings menu and Timeline panel menu. You can always reset all Premiere Pro user preferences by holding Option (macOS) or Alt (Windows) when you start Premiere Pro.

In this tutorial, I'm going to show you how to customize various display options of your timeline in Adobe Premiere Pro. Let's start with a very busy and cluttered timeline, and step by step we'll slowly take away display options until we're left with a very minimal look. Doing this will help you see the extent to which you can customize. Let's get started.
Panel Menu and Timeline Display Settings
There are two areas in the timeline panel where you can do some significant customization: The panel menu and the timeline display settings menu. The majority of your customization options can be found in the latter. To open the timeline display settings menu, click on the small wrench icon in the upper left hand side of the timeline panel.
Video and Audio Clip Display Options
Show Video Thumbnails
Video thumbnails provide you a reference frame on each individual clip.
Show Video Keyframes
You can display keyframe information straight on your video clips. If you aren't doing any keyframing or animating properties, it can be beneficial to remove this display.
Show Video Names
You may or may not want video names to display on your clips. I prefer to leave them on with the audio name displays turned off.
Show Audio Waveform
Once you remove this display, you'll notice how much space audio waveforms take up in the timeline — and just how quickly you can become lost without them.
Show Audio Keyframes
Just as with video keyframes, you can display audio keyframe information on your audio clips.
Show Audio Names
Turning off audio name information can help to declutter your timeline. I personally find myself using only video names and turning off audio names.
Clip Markers, Duplicate Frame Markers, Through Edits and FX Badges
Show Clip Markers
Clip markers are a useful tool. If you use them heavily, but want to focus on something else, you can quickly turn them off.
Show Duplicate Frame Markers
Duplicate frame markers are useful and help keep you alert to any clips or frames being displayed more than once in your timeline.
Show Through Edits
Through edits also help keep you aware of any possible unnecessary edits on a clip. A through edit is an edit where no frames are missing within a clip.
Show FX Badges
FX badges are extremely useful. Deep freeze 7 20 gauge. They have three different display modes: gray means nothing is going on with your clip, yellow means you have keyframes on a property somewhere, and purple means you have an actual effect on your clip.

Trimming, Tracks, Headers and the Panel Menu
Composite Preview During Trim
Composite preview during a trim simply shows you a composite of both the frame being trimmed and the frame of the adjacent clip on the timeline. Turn this off to see a full-screen preview of only the frame being trimmed.
